OC Register remembering Paul Musco Musco Center for the Arts Chapman University

I have wonderful memories of Paul Musco from both Chapman University and the Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC). He had a real talent for making those around him feel special. Each year, he thanked the Cast and Directors of the CHOC Follies for our service by providing lunch and commending us all for the impact our volunteerism had on CHOC.

I also had the honor of working with Paul when Idea Hall was hired to brand Chapman University’s Musco Center for the Arts. Amidst the pressure of working with various stakeholders to choose from an array of logo options in time for the grand opening, Paul turned to me and said, “Tell me what you want me to do, and we’ll do it.” Paul respected everyone’s input and trusted the experts, and we are honored to have been able to gain that trust in our work for the Musco Center. Named “The Emotive Beat,” the brand went on to be applauded by the Chapman community and various other patrons of the arts.

I feel so grateful to have known and partnered with one of Orange County’s most notable philanthropists and most honorable men. Paul Musco’s memory will live forever through the countless lives he touched and the incredible impact he made on our community.
