Momma Gs Southern Mud Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ Cup of Flour
  • 1 ½ Cup of Chopped Pecans
  • 3 Sticks of Butter, Softened
  • 2 (8 Ounce) Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 3 Cups of Cool Whip
  • 2 (4 Ounce) Packages of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix, Preferably Godiva Dark Chocolate
  • 3 Cups of Milk
  • 1 Cup of Cool Whip for Topping
  • Topping Choices: Pecans, Chocolate Chips, Peppermint, Etc.

 

Steps

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees
  2. Prepare Bakeware, 9 x 13, by Lightly Spraying with Oil (Use Butter/Flour if Needed)
  3. 1st Layer: Crust
    • Combine Butter, Flour, Pecans and Press into Bakeware. 
    • Bake for 25 Minutes until Lightly Brown
    • Let Cool Completely 
  4. 2nd Layer: 
    • Combine Cream Cheese, Powdered Sugar, 3 Cups Cool Whip 
    • Spread Evenly Over Crust
  5. 3rd Layer:
    • Mix 2 Packages of Instant Pudding According to Instructions 
    • Spread Evenly Over 2nd Layer
  6. 4th Layer:
    • Spread Thin Layer of Cool Whip 
    • Sprinkle with Toppings of Choice
