Idea Hall named agency of record for $3 billion mixed-use, master-planned community and entertainment district in Anaheim.

An endeavor of the Samueli Family, Anaheim Ducks owner; longtime Honda Center manager, ocV!BE slated to open in 2024 in Anaheim’s ‘Platinum Triangle’; Full-service creative communications agency retained for branding and marketing communications services

ANAHEIM, Calif. – Nov. 10, 2021– ocV!BE has named Idea Hall its agency of record for branding and marketing communications services. An endeavor of the Samueli Family, the owner of the Anaheim Ducks and the longtime manager of the Honda Center, ocV!BE is a first-of-its-kind, $3 billion, 95-acre, master-planned, mixed-use fusion community slated to open in 2024, designed to connect people from all walks of life to unexpected experiences. Located within the “Platinum Triangle” of Anaheim, California, the development will surround the iconic Honda Center entertainment district. Through a competitive RFP process, the ocV!BE leadership committee selected Idea Hall as its agency partner to lead the brand development and infusion throughout the overall customer experience.

“We knew Idea Hall would be our agency partner when they flipped the strategic lens on the assignment away from what ocV!BE is to what ocV!BE means…why it exists and how it’s going to connect to the people who will go there,” said Tim Ryan, CEO of ocV!BE. “Our organization looks forward to working collaboratively with Idea Hall to share the exciting story of ocV!BE.”

Idea Hall was selected after a six-month agency review that culminated in a brand development competition. The team will work together on all phases of the project, from entitlements to groundbreaking, and offer branding, communications and strategic counsel for the property and individual entities.

“ocV!BE will be an inspired, first-of-its-kind destination unlike anywhere else in the world, with thoughtfully curated artistic and cultural experiences that will delight all and profoundly benefit the community of Anaheim,” said Idea Hall CEO Rebecca Hall. “As a deeply rooted Orange County community member and champion of all things good, we are especially proud and excited to win this work!”

Once complete, ocV!BE will feature a sustainable community emphasizing walkability, health and wellness as well as lifestyle amenities with a capacity of more than 30,000 for live entertainment, including a new concert venue that has a capacity of 5,7000. The property will sit on 20 acres of public space in four unique plazas offering 230,000 square feet of commercial space with more than 30 restaurant concepts and a market hall with diverse food offerings. Two hotels with a total of 550 rooms also will be added, along with more than 1 million square feet of office space and a new, 325-square-foot tower office and 1,500 residential units with 15% allocated for affordable housing. New roads and an increased capacity will bring more than 8,000 parking spots to the property and 10 acres of publicly accessible parks, including a more than four-acre wellness park and nearly five-acre riverfront park.
