Goodness in Action: Celebrating National Philanthropy Day

At Idea Hall, Goodness isn’t just something we talk about – it’s something we live by.

As we observe National Philanthropy Day on November 15, we’re proud to reflect on how giving back is deeply embedded in who we are and what we do. From volunteering in the community to supporting our purpose-driven clients, we believe that creativity and compassion go hand in hand.

This month, we’re spotlighting the many ways Idea Hall champions generosity in action, through the time, talent, and heart our team invests in making Orange County stronger. Together, we’re proving that doing good is good business.

How We Champion Goodness

IH Farm 2025

Giving back has been core to Idea Hall culture since our founding in 2003. This past year, our team dedicated 332 volunteer hours across Orange County, with 85% focused on skill-based services that leverage our expertise in strategy, storytelling, and design to uplift local nonprofits.

We contributed more than $34,000 in cash donations and $10,200 in in-kind services to causes that strengthen our community. From packing 4,470 pounds of fresh produce at Second Harvest Food Bank to volunteering through Leadership Tomorrow and HomeAid Orange County, our employees are leading by example.

Recently, our Founder and CEO Rebecca Hall was featured in a profile story by the Orange County Bussiness Journal.

Clients That Give Back & How We Support Them

This month, we’re spotlighting Goodness in action and the best ways to give back through our incredible clients who make generosity part of their mission every day. From veteran-led service to food access and youth empowerment, these partnerships remind us that when business and purpose come together, the impact reaches far beyond the workplace.

Be Well OC

Idea Hall is proud to support Be Well OC, an organization redefining what compassionate, accessible mental health care looks like. Through its innovative countywide model that unites public, private, and nonprofit partners, Be Well OC is creating a coordinated system of care that prioritizes hope, healing, and connection.

We’ll be collecting nonperishable food items, canned goods, and pantry staples at the Idea Hall office in Costa Mesa from November 17 to December 4. All donations will be personally delivered by our team at the end of the drive, a heartfelt effort led by Sara Sloan, Idea Hall Vice President and member of HomeAid OC’s Board of Directors: Executive Committee.

Clients, partners, and community friends are invited to join us in spreading Goodness this season by dropping off donations or sharing the drive with their networks. Every can, box, and bag helps make the holidays brighter for our neighbors in need.

Team Spotlight: Champions of Good

Rebecca Hall Hi Res (1)

Every month, we shine a light on what it means to be Champions of All Good Things. This month’s spotlight is on our founder and CEO, Rebecca Hall, APR, whose visionary leadership and steadfast commitment to purpose and people continue to shape Idea Hall’s mission of Goodness.

For Rebecca, Goodness means leading with heart – inspiring others through creativity, empathy, and a drive to make meaningful impact. Grateful for the Goodness

As we close out this Goodness Report, we extend heartfelt gratitude to our clients, partners, and community for continuing to inspire us. November reminded us that generosity doesn’t just happen in grand gestures, but the small, consistent acts of kindness that shape the culture of Idea Hall and the heart of Orange County.

From National Philanthropy Day to our Holiday Food Drive with HomeAid OC, this season is a celebration of connection, compassion, and creativity in action. Together, we’ve planted seeds of Goodness that will continue to grow well into the new year.

Here’s to carrying that spirit forward to more giving, more purpose, and more Goodness in everything we do. Thank you for being part of our story and for helping us make every month a little brighter.

Idea Hall gives all year long, from volunteering, mentoring, and storytelling to supporting causes that strengthen our community. As we look ahead to Giving Tuesday on December 2, we’re reminded that every act of Goodness, big or small, makes a difference. Let’s keep the spirit of giving alive together.

With gratitude,

The Idea Hall Team
