Celebrating Earth Day With IRWD

April 20, 2023

For this edition of the Goodness Report, we’re celebrating our partnership with Irvine Ranch Water District and the 53rd annual Earth Day this Saturday, April 22.

Earth Day Goodness

Earth Day is celebrated by all at Idea Hall, whether it be as simple as taking time to pick up trash in our parks or beaches, spending time outdoors, recycling initiatives, planting or finding creative ways to move toward a brighter future for our planet. Reflecting on the importance of taking care of our Earth, Idea Hall is fortunate to have a wonderful client, Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD), serving as a leader and exemplary champion of water conservation.

Irvine Ranch Water District

IRWD is an independent special district serving central Orange County, providing high-quality drinking water, reliable sewage collection and treatment, ground-breaking recycled water programs, and environmentally sound urban runoff treatment to its customers.  Not only do they provide outstanding service to the citizens of central Orange County, but they also are industry leaders in water recycling and use.

Paul Cook, General Manager of IRWD says,

“Water is one of Earth’s most valued resources, and Irvine Ranch Water District is committed to making the most of it — seeking out new and innovative approaches to water reuse and recycling, water efficiency, natural treatment systems, emergency supply development and renewable energy sources. We work with our community every day to save water, and on Earth Day, we want to thank our customers for being among the most water-efficient in all of California.”

#TurnOffWastey

Idea Hall has partnered with IRWD to increase their social media footprint and engage their customers in an exciting way. Wastey: The World’s Worst Mascot, showcased humorous water-wasting habits to IRWD’s audience during his #TurnOffWastey campaign this year. Wastey brought laughter to the serious water conservation topic, sparking both light-hearted and serious conversations within IRWD’s audiences and far beyond. Idea Hall is proud to partner with IRWD and is constantly inspired by their commitment to not only making Orange County a water-efficient community, but setting the standard for Earth-conscious innovation.
