Overview
THE SITUATION
The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s disease care, support and research. To support this mission, in 2013 Idea Hall developed the “GO Purple OC” Campaign for their Orange County chapter. Given the success of the campaign, the chapter approached Idea Hall again to expand and amplify GO Purple OC in a highly visible way.
OUR SOLUTION
Through GO Purple OC, Idea Hall forged strategic partnerships that enabled Alzheimer’s Association to raise $819,000K+, a 68% increase year-over-year. By mobilizing participation via social media channels, websites, and locations with high visibility turning their buildings purple, we were able to reach exponentially more Orange County residents. The campaign reached new and previously untapped audiences through the advertising and marketing tactics throughout the campaign and provided the blueprint for a great movement that continues to grow every year.
THE RESULTS
The GO Purple OC Campaign was a huge success. Not only did it turn raise tremendous awareness, but it increased calls to the help line, increased walk participating, attracted new audiences and board members, and generated millions in donations for the ALZ “Cornerstone” capital campaign and ALZ walks.
