Public Relations Director

Calling fellow champions of good! Idea Hall is hiring a PR account director for its finance, commercial real estate, and professional services practice. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Senior day-to-day oversight and strategic account lead
  • Insight-based program development and execution of integrated communications campaigns including media relations, thought leadership, digital, social & content marketing, events, award programs, outbound marketing campaigns, etc.
  • Senior account leader and client relationship contact
  • Account team oversight and account operations oversight
  • Content and thought leadership writing for C-Suite
  • Close collaboration and direct involvement on media relations strategy and efforts among the team
  • Support the media relations suite of work as needed to ensure excellent outcomes for the team
  • Fiscal management and team workload management on your accounts
  • Partner with Idea Hall’s Account, Creative and Digital teams on integrated work
  • Career pathing and growth coaching of junior account team members
  • Leading select skills development and training initiatives for the agency
  • Assist in agency new business



  • 8-12 years professional experience, with PR or integrated communications agency experience heavily in the mix (prerequisite)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-marketing disciplines to build and execute integrated marcom programs
  • Experience creating success metrics for communications/PR campaigns and the tools to measure communications success
  • A working understanding of Google Analytics; fluent experience preferred with comfort using Google Data Studio
  • Highly calibrated communications strategist
  • Seasoned writing and editing skills; ability to write for senior level management and business audiences (op-eds, memos, press releases, etc.)
  • Excellent project management, account management and creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Solid media relations experience with proven program results and success building influencer relationships
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to navigate complex client needs
  • A passion for integrated media strategies
  • Proactive team player with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree
