When Amazon announced it would be accepting proposals from cities across the nation to house its second headquarters (HQ2), Irvine did not hesitate to put its name in the hat. The city’s key stakeholders, comprised of UC Irvine, City of Irvine, the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce and Irvine Company, set forth to assemble its proposal. Idea Hall was retained as the agency partner to facilitate communications and strategic planning throughout the process. Serving as the nucleus of the collaborative partnership, Idea Hall crafted key messaging for internal and external audiences and worked hand-in-hand with all partners on the media relations strategy. As a result of its efforts, the agency had Irvine included in the national conversation with placements in top national business publications and feature stories in top local publications.
