Restaurant Chain Makes Amazing Sculpture Out Of Plastic Straws

Here’s something good. What do you do if you pledge to stop using something, but you have 140,000 of them on hand? You make art, duh! A&W Canada recently became North America’s first restaurant chain to stop using plastic straws in favor of paper straws, for obvious environmental reasons. A&W Canada estimates its policy change will keep 82 million single-use plastic straws from ending up in landfills or bodies of water. So, with the help of design agency Rethink, they created the ‘Change is Good’ sculpture in downtown Toronto, made completely out of the leftover plastic straws. Now that’s delicious.
