Account Director – Real Estate

Idea Hall is hiring an experienced and enthusiastic Account Director of Real Estate to join our fun and collaborative team in our Costa Mesa headquarters office. If you have a deep understanding of the real estate ecosystem (with heavy emphasis on commercial real estate) and are passionate about building strong relationships with real estate clients, we want to hear from you!

The Account Director of Real Estate will serve a vital function at Idea Hall. In this role, you will lead our CRE/AEC/Capital Markets portfolio and support agency growth through new business development and team performance, particularly in the CRE/AEC/Capital Markets ecosystems. In addition to being the main point of contact for our CRE clients, you will serve as an active, engaged and compassionate mentor and manager to members of your team and others within the agency.

The ideal candidate will have extensive real estate experience and strong communication skills. The Account Director will foster relationships with key client contacts through speaking directly to them about their needs and ultimately developing and implementing ongoing communication and outreach strategies.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Lead Idea Hall’s CRE/AEC/Finance Portfolio, serving as industry expert and senior team member to ensure excellence in work product and client experience that results in organic client growth

  • Build existing client business through developing a deep and thorough understanding of each client’s unique goals and business models and proactively identifying and pitching new, strategically-aligned program opportunities; assume fiscal responsibility for each CRE account
  • Develop strategies to create a national presence in CRE for the agency
  • Support agency growth through active engagement in the CRE/AEC/Capital Markets and homebuilder ecosystems.
  • Support new business outreach by cultivating referrals and working collaboratively to pitch new business opportunities that bring in new accounts
  • Develop new agency offerings that anticipate clients’ future needs
  • Actively contribute to the overall growth and health of Idea Hall and our team members through identifying and attracting top talent to the agency; consistently champion Idea Hall’s “people-centered” culture and core values

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 10-15 years of PR and integrated communications experience
  • Strong enthusiasm for CRE clients and leading a team
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, the media and other constituents
  • Solution-oriented leader and cross-collaborator
  • Lead by example to embody Idea Hall’s values of excellence, honesty, teamwork, respect and making a difference
  • Expertise in CRE-focused PR, marketing and digital offerings
  • Highly skilled in all aspects of account management and team leadership, including customer-focused service, proposal writing, budget planning, verbal and written presentations and coaching/mentoring
  • Business acumen for making sound business decisions that contribute to the overall health of the agency
  • Successful track record in award-winning PR and integrated communication programs for CRE
  • Bachelor’s degree; APR and other marketing certifications are a plus
