Rebecca Hall, APR, President & CEO

Founder of Idea Hall, Rebecca Hall is responsible for the agency’s work quality, client service and the oversight of all accounts.  She takes part in every new client proposal and brings her experience and strategy to every element of client work.  She founded Idea Hall with the intent to create an agency where the employees are expert, professional and love where they work—on the premise that this kind of environment would inspire and produce an outstanding work product.

An award-winning public relations and marketing professional, Rebecca possesses a broad range of experience in numerous industries including real estate, transportation and economic development as well as business services, restaurant, food and beverage, and consumer goods. Specializing in media relations and integrated marketing campaigns, she has developed and implemented international, national and local public relations/marketing programs, image-building campaigns, and new product introductions for a variety of industries.

Prior to founding Idea Hall in 2003, Rebecca worked for Amies Communications, where she led the award-winning Southern California Logistics Airport team in a media relations and marketing program resulting in worldwide exposure and business attraction for the all-cargo airport located in Victorville, Calif.  In addition, she conducted the bi-coastal media launch for Tejon Ranch Company when it listed on the New York Stock Exchange, which received significant national, local and financial trade media coverage.

Before joining Amies Communications, Rebecca worked for New York-based Creamer Dickson Basford (now known as RSCG Magnet Communications) where she worked with a number of well-known clients including Coors Brewing Co., Country Harvest Buffets, Franklin Covey Co., Paragon Steakhouses, Post Cereals, Pizza Hut, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, and Reynolds Wrap.  She was on the Silver Anvil Best-of-the-Best award-winning team for the media and celebrity launch of Meals On Wheels and Reynolds Wrap 50th Anniversary Celebration in Los Angeles.

Rebecca is accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America and holds a bachelor's degree from Chapman University in Business Communications.  She also serves on Chapman's Alumni Board and Public Relations Advisory Board.

Fun Facts:
1. What's one thing that you wish people knew about you?
I Love surprises!

2. Most odd/fun job that you have ever had?
I was a camp counselor for many summers. Junior High and High School camps.  I did song leading, the camp newspaper, pool games, sunrise hikes, worship and the whole thing.

3. Greatest Academic Achievement?
Guest lecturing at Chapman University.

4. Your childhood hobby? And your adulthood hobby?
From age 5–18, I tap danced. I still have my shoes.
Adult hobby — travel. Recent travels include:
Costa Rica — including  Arenal volcano.
Thailand — annual elephant round-up in Surin, ruins in Ayutthaya (the old capital) and The Oriental Hotel I Bangkok.
Cayman Brac — received my SCUBA certification so I could dive the Bloody Bay Wall and the wreck of the M/V Capt. Keith Tibbetts, a 330 ft. Russian frigate sunk off the coast.

5. If you had the power to invent ANYTHING what would it be?  What does it do?
Timeless World Traveler — It would transport passengers to destinations around the world in less than an hour so people could travel more and appreciate other cultures, food, wine, natural wonders, etc.
