Raymond Diaz, Media Relations Specialist

As media relations specialist, Raymond Diaz provides Idea Hall clients with dedicated media relations outreach, securing coverage for clients in top media outlets, and oversees the development and management of all the agency’s media lists and contact information.  His experience also includes an extensive background in broadcasting, video production, and celebrity endorsements.
 
Prior to joining Idea Hall, Diaz developed his pitching and placement skills at a boutique public relations firm, where he worked with entertainment industry clients, such as United Media and Lionsgate Films.  His work secured coverage for clients in publications such as Brandweek, TV Week, and The Hollywood Reporter.
 
A graduate of California State University Fullerton, Diaz holds a B.A. in communications, with an emphasis in public relations, as well as an Associate of Arts degree in radio/television production from Fullerton College.  He is currently a member of the Public Relations Society of America.

Fun Facts:
1. What's one thing that you wish people knew about you?
That I think I’m really funny, whether other people laugh or not.

2. Most odd/fun job that you have ever had?
Providing financial council to adults with mental impairments (odd because I was living paycheck to paycheck at the time, wait, I still am.)

3. Greatest Academic Achievement?
Taking 10 years to transfer from JC to a CSU (most would have quit), then graduating in less than two years.

4. Your childhood hobby? And your adulthood hobby?
My childhood hobby was collecting comic books (still do, but don’t tell anyone.)

5. If you had the power to invent ANYTHING what would it be?  What does it do?
Spell check that understands what one means to say thus avoiding misspellings on words like their and they’re.
