Marcie Perez, Vice President

Marcie Perez is Vice President of Idea Hall’s Los Angeles office. In this role, she oversees the strategic service capabilities and business development of the agency’s multicultural team.

As a member of the executive management team, she works to ensure quality and results-oriented client service remain key components to the agency’s public relations, marketing, and branding communications services. With 12 years of PR and marketing expertise, she brings to Idea Hall a seasoned background in strategic counsel of general and multicultural markets, media relations, national spokesperson capabilities, event management, and experiential luxury lifestyle marketing.

Consistently focused on emerging media and pop culture trends, Perez’s foresight led her to niche marketing of the fastest growing segment in the Hispanic population – the second and third generation English-speaking Latinos. Prior to joining Idea Hall, Marcie served as the Director of Public Relations for Tu Ciudad Magazine where she was responsible for building and developing the magazine’sbrand image via public relations, special events marketing and grassroots efforts. Prior to working in the media, Marcie was formerly with Euro RSCG Magnet as an Associate Vice President where she co-founded the firm’s Hispanic practice, overseeing and servicing national accounts such as T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Splenda, Tecate, Heineken, Coors, Mercedes, Sprint PCS and Polaroid, to name a few. Marcie’s PR career was largely developed in Orange County where she was previously employed at leading industry firms including Paine & Associates and Laer Pearce & Associates. It was early in her career that she developed an enthusiasm for media relations and quickly developed lifelong relationships with regional and national media contacts in key Hispanic markets including Los Angeles, Dallas, San Antonio, Chicago, Miami and New York.

Perez earned a master’s of science in leadership and management at the University of La Verne and also completed a bachelor’s of fine arts in communications with an emphasis in public relations from California State University at Fullerton. There, she resided as past president of the Robert E. Rayfield Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Additionally, she earned the “Rick Roguski, APR Memorial Scholarship Award,” given to outstanding public relations students by the Orange County chapter of PRSA. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), co-founded OC-PRSA’s Diversity Committee and served as its co-chair, and has been invited to speak at various national and international universities on topics of leadership, management, and Hispanic public relations and marketing.
