Dennis Kaiser, Vice President

Dennis Kaiser serves as Vice President of Idea Hall’s Los Angeles office and is spearheading its business-to-business practice group. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing oversight and strategic direction for all advertising, public relations, and interactive aspects of the company’s operations.

With more than 25 years of communications experience, Kaiser spent 10 years as a journalist at the Los Angeles Times, Portland Oregonian, Eugene Register-Guard, KPNW radio, Seattle Times and the Pasadena Star-News.In the early 1990s he transitioned into public relations, and since that time he’s developed and managed national communications programs for some of the country's finest companies, from Fortune 500s to start-ups, both public and private. In the industry he has been able to combine his journalistic perspective and work alongside writers to cover major-breaking news stories, product launches and company news announcements.

Prior to joining Idea Hall, Kaiser served as an associate director at Off Madison Ave, the largest integrated communications agency in Arizona. Previously, he held a senior position at Los Angeles-based Macy + Associates, a full-service marketing firm where for more than 15 years he ran programs involving public, media, and community relations, marketing, brand management, and event promotions.

Kaiser has developed marketing communications programs involving a broad range of business-to-business and consumer categories including real estate, automotive, consumer products, travel/tourism, fashion/beauty, retail, sports, hotel/restaurant, entertainment, technology, healthcare, law, architecture, construction, environmental, education, financial services, investment, insurance, issues/causes, retail, and early childhood development. During his career he’s been responsible for a wide array of business-to-business assignments including Equity Office, Cushman & Wakefield, CB Richard Ellis, Carlyle Group, Colliers, DMB Associates, Marcus & Millichap, GE Capital, Howard Hughes Corp. Hyatt, Starwood, Hilton, Marriott, Mitchell, Raleigh Studios and Shea. Kaiser has also been involved in national and regional consumer programs for such brands as Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Flemming’s, Morton’s, NASCAR, Tommy Bahama, McCormick & Kuleto’s, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Starbucks, Claire Burke, Shano, Vitabath, Premier Garage, Help-U-Sell, California Casualty, California Highway Patrol, Arizona Institute for Early Childhood Development, L.A. County-USC Medical Center, L.A. District Attorney’s Office, Port of San Francisco, Boys & Girls Club, Electronic Arts, and Yahoo!. 

Kaiser is a member of the Urban Land Institute and has been active in a number of industry organizations such as BOMA, NAIOP, LACRA, SIOR, the Association of Silicon Valley Brokers, the National Association of Real Estate Editors and the Pacific Coast Builders Conference. He has been involved in a host of charitable and community organizations including the American Cancer Society, Easter Seals, Boy Scouts, Freedom For Life, L.A.’s BEST, Reach Out and Read, Super Bowl Host Committee, and Thunderbirds Charities. An automotive enthusiast, Kaiser holds memberships in the American Auto Racing Writers & Broadcasters Association and NASCAR. He is married, has two daughters and resides in San Pedro, Calif.

1. What's one thing that you wish people knew about you?
I’m an early adopter who reads everything I can get my hands on.

2. Most odd/fun job that you have ever had?
Sportswriter.

3. Greatest Academic Achievement?
Journalism degree.

4. Your childhood hobby? And your adulthood hobby?
Childhood: Baseball. Adulthood: NASCAR.

5. If you had the power to invent ANYTHING what would it be?  What does it do?
Time machine — Gets me to appointments quicker.
