Some people opt for soccer or softball when looking for club sports, but this year I discovered…DODGEBALL! No longer reserved for recess, Thursday night dodgeball games became my favorite time to get together with friends, meet new friends, and best of all, hurl balls at other teams! (All competition, however, quickly dissolved over post-game drinks at Sharkies, the sponsoring bar.) The league was organized through the Orange County Sport & Social Club, which offers rotating seasons of football, volleyball, and dodgeball. For 20- and 30-somethings from all over Orange County, the club is the perfect outlet for great competition, great people, and an overall great time! |
