Last September I ran the Nike Run Hit Wonder 10K in LA, and it by far my favorite road race to date! My friends and I, along with about 20,000 people running through the streets in lime green Nike racing shirts, listened to bands like The Donnas, Joan Jett, Fountains of Wayne, Chingy, and Nina Sky playing their most famous hits live at every mile. The course began outside of the Rose Garden near the USC campus and ended inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum—running through that tunnel to the finish line with live music blasting and lights flashing, I couldn’t tell if I felt more like an Olympic champ or a rock star…
