I recommended the heart walk because its a yearly event that my friends and family have participated since 1999. Team "Bailey's Friends and Family" walk to support my eight year old nephew. My nephew Bailey was born with a heart defect, and at birth was given just a few weeks to live. Now, eight years later, our miracle boy is growing, learning, and is surviving this battle of life. The walk is to honor the survivors, remember the lost loved ones and to help raise money to fight heart disease and heart defects. The inner strength that Bailey possesses and the research that goes into fighting heart disease is what keeps people like Bailey alive.

I participate in the heart walk for personal reasons, but it truly is a great event for anyone. It's held at the beautiful Balboa Park in San Diego, California. For just three to four hours of your day once a year, you can take part in helping save the life and lives of millions of people.
