Any PR professional is, either deep down or blatantly on the surface, a media narcissist. Oh, we are kind, generous, warm-hearted and philanthropic folks—absolutely—but when it comes to the fruit of our craft, we become a little obsessive.
The average person sees a news story on TV or reads an article in her favorite magazine without much thought to it. We, however, immediately analyze who pitched it, who wrote it/produced it and if key messages were delivered. And, of course, we are keenly focused on how long the article is or how many minutes the story gets on the evening news. Yes, size definitely matters.
